China has already out of ammunition in this trade war, its growth severely dampened while the US economy has emerged practically unscathed and in a good health. The worst part of the tariff war is still to come on $160 billion worth of imports from China next month and China has nothing to respond with.
US do not need Phase One US-China Trade Deal or any deal for that matter, because US have already won the trade war, period. With trade deal or without, China is the same evil empire run by a ruthless totalitarian maniac. With trade deal or without, China run by Xi Jinping will continue to lie, cheat, steal and strong-arm its neighbours and the free world.
